I'm interested in sharing and education. I work in the tradition of Highlander Center (where Rosa Parks was trained) in "people's education" -- bringing people together in collaborative conversation to make a difference for people and the planet. I've developed simplicity study circles in the past and am now working with the Happiness Initiative with Pursuit of Happiness Circles. As John Dewey said, "Democracy is born in conversation."
- Interests
- My passion is bringing people together to talk in small groups. As one of my friends said, when she saw me starting a new group, "You must have been a sheep dog in a former life.", My other passion is walking, where I always try to have lots of "stop and chats." I'm helped in that with my little dog, Millie.

I have my doctorate in education from Stanford and worked as an administrator in a community college. My focus now is "community education" -- education "by the people, for the people, and of the people."
